Aimee is the Principal Interior Designer and Owner of UmmaCasa Interior Design. She founded the company at the encouragement of friends and neighbors who had sought her expertise and recommended her to others. Aimee quickly realized the need for Interior Design to be an industry that was more approachable to homeowners and achievable on any budget. 

A native of California, Aimee worked with prominent designers in the San Francisco Bay Area on high-end residential homes, hotels, restaurants, and wineries for over a decade after earning her BA in Interior Architecture and Design. Lighting design became a focus, and she worked closely with architects and landscape designers up and down the coast from Napa and Sonoma Valleys to Atherton. When her husband’s job called them abroad, she consulted in Asia on commercial projects and continued to practice design. She and her family moved to Longmont, Colorado, in 2017, where they enjoy the mountains and laid-back atmosphere. 

Aimee doesn't believe in labeling her design style—she believes in creating spaces where people can feel their best. Her philosophy is less is more, and simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. To her, good design is not just one style or another—you can have an all-white interior and sneak in an animal print, or showcase a timeless mid-century modern chair in home with Victorian architecture. Good design is about how you put all the things you love together to create a space you want to live in every day.
